Semi-Transparent Type Tutorial

Step 1: Type your text.

Step 2: Put a selection around your text. Hide your type layer. Click on the background layer.

Step 3: Press Apple + J. click on your layer Styles and choose drop shadow. Click directly on the words Inner Shadow. Next click on the words Inner Glow. Click OK.

Step 4: Drag your type layer into the trash.

Step 5: Click on your background layer. Hold down the Apple Key + L to Brighten your background image.
